This book talks about the return of Doctor who in a new era of television. This will help look at how the show has turned into a huge fan base and even possibly a cult show. 

 

 

Leach, Jim. 2009. TV milestones : Doctor who. Detroit, MI, USA: Wayne State University Press.

 

This book talks about various aspects of the show from the old series and the return. With its sections on the Daleks and regenerations of the Doctor I will be able to have a more insight into those topics. 

 

 

Tulloch, John Jenkins, Henry. 1995. Science fiction audiences : Doctor who, star trek, and their fans. Florence, KY, USA: Routledge.

 

Looks at the audience and the importance of science fiction television. This book will help with the discussion of how popular Doctor Who is and questions what aspects attract people to the show.

This article looks at the new Doctor Who series and how Steven Moffat has dealt with the show. This will help in discusing the fears and issue of life and death within the show.

 

McMahon, Christopher. 2008. Imaginative faith: Apocalyptic, science fiction theory, and theology. Dialog 47, no. 3: 271-277.

 

This article does not mention Doctor Who but it references other works of science fiction. It deals with with religion so it will help in discussing how the genre usually deals with religion.

This article also deals with religion in Science Fiction so it will also help with my discussion.

This article will help with the discussion of regeneration and how it is dealt with in Doctor Who. It will also help in discussing why there is regeneration.

This article deals with the atheism within Doctor Who. It will be a contrast to discussing christianity.
